Changelog

Prompt: "Write a changelog video for Relay 2.4, released September 2026. New: scheduled releases. Improved: the editor opens twice as fast. Fixed: links in footnotes open correctly."

Builds the changelog template at 16:9, 15 to 30 seconds.

Scenes: title with the version and date, bullets of up to three changes tagged New, Improved or Fixed, a call to action with the changelog URL.

Data story

Prompt: "Make a data story: 1.28 million videos rendered this year, up from 310,000 last year, with renders per day climbing from 40k in January to 164k in September."

Builds the data-story template at 16:9, 4 seconds per section plus the title.

Scenes: title with the finding, a stat for the single biggest number, then a bar, line or donut chart per comparison.

Feature short

Prompt: "Make a short for Relay. Hook: stop writing release notes by hand. Feature: Relay drafts them from your merged pull requests. Cta: try Relay free."

Builds the feature-short template at 9:16, 12 to 20 seconds.

Scenes: hook text, title with the feature, a phone screen recording, call to action.

Podcast clip

Prompt: "Make a teaser for episode 42 of Frame by Frame. Use the clip where our guest says the best render farm is the one you never have to think about."

Builds the podcast-teaser template at 9:16, 15 to 45 seconds.

Scenes: the quote as a caption card over a trimmed clip of the episode, with the show name and cover art.

Product launch

Prompt: "Make a launch video for Relay, our release notes tool. Features: write once, ship on merge, see who read it."

Builds the product-launch template at 16:9, 25 to 45 seconds.

Scenes: logo, title, one per feature, a browser shot per screenshot, call to action.

Talking head short

Prompt: "Make a talking-head short from take-3.mp4. Hook: most videos lose you in three seconds. Emphasize the words three and seconds."

Builds the talking-head-short template at 9:16, aim for 20 to 60 seconds.

Scenes: the hook for the first three seconds, then the video with captions and two to four emphasized words.

Tutorial

Prompt: "Make a tutorial titled Add a storyboard to your project. Step one: run npx shadcn add @reelcn/storyboard. Step two: show the Composition code. Step three: screenshot the studio."

Builds the tutorial template at 16:9, set by typing time, aim under 90 seconds.

Scenes: title with the outcome, one step per scene as terminal, code or screenshot.

YouTube intro

Prompt: "Make a channel intro for Northwind Labs. Title: Building a render farm in an afternoon."

Builds the youtube-intro template at 16:9, 4 to 6 seconds, paired with the youtube-outro template at 10 seconds as the end screen.

Scenes: title text reveal over a brand sweep and gradient mesh background.

Write your own

When no recipe fits, the agent writes a storyboard instead: a JSON file with a theme and a list of scenes. Ask for the video and say to use a storyboard.
